Edward A. Hale
MUSCATINE, Iowa--Edward Alan Hale, 54, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at All American Care in Muscatine.
Burial will take place at a later date. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for the arrangements.
Edward was born on January 16, 1960, at the U.S. Naval Base in Quantico, Virginia, the son of Sgt. Maj. Harry P. Hale Jr. and Sarah Catherine Rothwell Hale and was raised by Jerry and Lucretia Dilling of Martinsburg, Pennsylvania. In 2012, Edward was engaged to Kathy Holland.
Edward proudly served his country in the United States Army as a paratrooper and in the 82nd Airborne.
He was a truck driver for many years. He was a member of the American Legion.
Edward will be missed by his fiance, Kathy Holland; seven step-children, Shilah Hobon (Timothy), Deric Bunn, Samantha Ellis (Cory), Jacob Sprague, Sarah, Don and Frank; many grandchildren; four siblings, Jamie Hale, Laurie Gelwicks, Linda Sell, and Michael Dilling; six step-siblings, Terri Emmons, Tamara Wagner, Sherry Dilling, Amy Dilling, Rachel Beck, and Jane Archer; and many nieces and nephews.
