Meribeth Ilene Green

Mrs. Meribeth Ilene Green, 65, of Burlington died Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at her home. Born August 4, 1949 in LaHarpe, Illinois, she was the daughter of Clyde Alexander and Lois "Isabella" Irene (Young) Brown. In 1966 she married Robert Welsh Jr. They later divorced. On September 22, 1972 she married William "Bill" Green in Rock Island, Illinois. Mrs. Green was a homemaker and also worked at Vista Bakery from 1994 - 2005 and at Great River Childcare in Burlington from 2005 - 2012. Mrs. Green was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed crocheting, staying at home, camping, computer games, gossiping on the phone and spending time with her family and friends. She loved her animals and had a Pepsi collection and Tweety Bird Collection. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Bill Green of Burlington; one son, Robert (Kimberly) Welsh III of Texas; three daughters, Tamatha (Tim) Royer and Tara Green both of Burlington and Teresa Green of Pennsylvania; one stepson, Robert (Janet) Green of Davenport; 20 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two sisters, Ardith White and Twila Polson both of Burlington; one sister-in-law, Jeannie Brown of Davenport; and one brother-...[more]
