John Phillip Hopkins

John Phillip Hopkins, age 79, of Springboro, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015. He was born August 19, 1935 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of the late Herald and Gladys (Noel) Hopkins. John was formerly employed with General Motors for 25+ years and was a member of South Dayton Church of Christ. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Betty Jo Hopkins; brothers, Harold Hopkins Jr., William Hopkins, Ralph Hopkins; sister, Janet Wessell; and great-grandson, Ethan Cinnamon. John is survived by his three daughters, Ruth (Charles) Campbell, Kathy Jo Pickett, Beth (Robert) Britton; son, John (Lisa) Hopkins Jr.; brother, David Max (Gloria) Hopkins; eleven granddaughters, Katie Jo, Amanda, Betsy, Melissa Mae, Amy, Rachel Noel, Laura, Cortney, Sarah, Hannah, Taylor; two grandsons, Charles David, John Austin; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Homes, 40 North Main Street, Springboro, Ohio.
