Vicki L Jaffe

Vicki L. (Wedeking) Jaffe, of Pembroke Pines, formerly of Miami, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 1, 2015. She was 63 years of age. Born in Waverly Iowa on March 5, 1951, daughter of Glen and Barbara (Barnes) Wedeking. Raised and educated in Des Moines, Iowa. Vicki moved to Miami in 1971. Before her retirement in 2012, Vicki was employed by Miami-Dade County for 30 years, working her way up as a Fire Communications Supervisor. The most important thing in Vicki's life was the love for her family and they always came first. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, going to movies and watching television. Survived by her beloved husband, Richard A. "Joe" Jaffe, three children from a previous marriage, Daniel Burns, Eric Burns and Melissa Burns. Also survived by her step-daughter, Michelle Jaffe, grandchildren, Brooke Burns, Skylar Joseph, Lee Watson, Hunter Stroup, Billie-Jean Jaffe and Tori Bishop, two brothers, Doug Wedeking and Mike (Suzanne) Wedeking. She was recently predeceased by her sister, Lisa Wedeking.
