THOMAS G. MILDER MUSCATINE, Iowa - Thomas George Milder, 66, of Muscatine, died on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at his home. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at St. Mathias Church.The Reverend Troy Richmond of Ss. Mary and Mathias Parish will officiate. Casket bearers will be Ryan Upton, Nate Kirk, Rich Hines, A.J. Flake, Richard Casey, and Joseph Short. A time of food and fellowship will be held at the American Legion, following the mass. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 19, 2105, in the Soldier's Section of Greenwood Cemetery with Military Rites by the combined squads of the American Legion Post 27 and the V.F.W. Post 1565. Visitation will be from 9 until 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at the church. Memorials may be made to Douglas Steele. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Tom was born on February 28, 1948, in Muscatine, the son of Francis and June Rininsland Milder. Those left to honor his memory include two step-sons, Kenneth Fry of Viet Nam, and Douglas Steele and DeAnna Wade of North Liberty; two step-daughters, Tina Sommerfeld of Kirksville, Illinois, and Lori Steele and Joseph Short, of Muscatine; 10 step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; his step-mother, Phyllis Milder of Muscatine; an uncle, Robert Milder of Davenport; an aunt, Virginia Rininsland of Muscatine; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
