Margaret McNary Ilg

Margaret M. Ilg, age 87, of Springboro, Ohio, died Sunday January 18, 2015 at Carlisle Manor. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 5, 1927. Margaret was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy and St. Mary's of the Springs College. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. William B. McNary, her husband of 63 years, William G.Ilg, son, Thomas W. Ilg, and sister, Helen McNary Laird. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Nann Ilg Lambert; two grandsons, Samuel Lambert, Jack Lambert; two granddaughters, Elle Lambert, and Lori Ilg. She spent many years in the Columbus area as a social worker affiliated with Catholic Social Services, Birthright of Columbus, and Dominican Sisters of the Sick Poor. She dedicated most of her time helping out the less fortunate in the Columbus area. Mass of the Resurrection will be Saturday January 24, 2015 at 11am at St. Andrews Church 1899 McCoy Rd Upper Arlington, OH 43220 with Monsignor Stephan Maloney celebrant. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:15 am to 11:00 am at the church. The family would like to extend a special thank to the staff of Carlisle Manor and Dr. Scott Zollett for their care to Margaret.
