Joan Teresa Goetzinger

Age 54. Set free peacefully from pancreatic cancer on January 17, 2015 with her family at her side. Visitation at the Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Friday, January 23, 2015 5:00-8:00 PM. Prayer and eulogy service 6:00 PM. Committal prayers at Mount Calvary Cemetery Chapel, 1111 Davis Avenue, Dubuque, IA 52001, Saturday, January 24, 2:00 PM. Survived her mother Gladys; siblings David (Cindy) Goetzinger, Charlotte (John) Smith, Marianne Dorsey, Mark Goetzinger, Rose (Andy) Schaepe and Grace (Jack) Barrows; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father Charles, her sister Pauline, a niece and a nephew. Resided in Waterford, WI on the lake, formerly of Dubuque, IA and Boscobel, WI. Joan began grade school at Immaculate Conception, moved with her family to Dubuque and completed grade school at St. Mary's, then went on to Walhert High School and Loras College where she loved to play flag football, especially when she scored a touchdown as a linewoman, and ran track.
