Virginia M. Law, 84, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center. Funeral services will be Monday, January 26th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with Rev. David Grindberg officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. She is survived by her children, John Law of Fort Dodge; Sandra (James) Batcheller of Fort Dodge; Sherrill (Max) Phillips of Woodward; Susan (Matthew) Maffin of Earlham; grandchildren, Megan Batcheller; Aaron Phillips; Kate (Jerrod) Fleming; Madison (Caleb) Taylor; Bryan (Lisa) Porter; Tricia (Brad) Newcomb; great-grandchild, Grace Porter; sister, Shirley (Clayton) Evenson of Fort Dodge; and her sisters-in-law, Genevieve Law of Duncombe and Lois Rhodes of Tea, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ruth (Nordstrum) Jennings; husband, Edmond Law in 2013. Virginia M. Jennings was born on August 8, 1930 in Fort Dodge. nited in marriage to Edmond Law and they established their home on the Law farm. The couple moved to Fort Dodge in 1986 and retired from farming in 1994. Virginia enjoyed celebrating all the holidays especially Christmas, along with sewing, doing crafts, and having coffee with friends. She loved to spend time with her family and attending her grandchildren's activities. Virginia was a member of the Joy Circle at St. Olaf Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank the staff at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center for their care and concern given to Virginia. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
