Mr. Willie Lee Heard was born to the late Timothy and Estella Davidson Heard on March 2, 1933 in Troup County, GA. He was the first born of two children. Mr. Willie Lee Heard departed from this life on November 7, 2009 at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital, Valley AL. Mr. Heard attended Tenth Street High School in West Point, GA. He also attended Albany State College for two years and Southern Union Junior College for two years. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church in West Point GA where he served as a faithful member of the deacon board. He was also a Mason of Hiram Lodge # 437. He was a 'Veteran of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict upon being honorably discharged. He worked for forty-four years at West Point Foundry and Machine Shop where he retired as a supervisor. Willie Lee was united in holy matrimony to Genevieve Winston and to this union seven children were born. He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife, Genevieve W.
