Joseph "Joe" Janecek III

Joseph "Joe" John Janecek III, age 64, lived in Spirit Lake with his wife, Cher. Joe passed away of heart failure on Friday January 23, 2015 at Lakes Regional Hospital in Spirit Lake. Joe was born in Detroit Lakes, MN on December 6, 1950 to Joseph John Janecek II and Jeannette Jeral. He married the love of his life, Cher Drager on August 24, 1979 in Mandan, ND. Joe loved to hunt and fish. His other hobbies were woodworking, painting, needlepoint, beadwork, working in his flower beds and most of all spending time with his wife. He also enjoyed visits from his step children and step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and David Janecek; step-father, Harlan Johnson; father, Joseph John Janecek II; and uncles. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Schuchert-Lentz Funeral Home in Spirit Lake, with Rev. David Drager officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 AM until service time Wednesday at Schuchert-Lentz Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Detroit Lakes, MN.
