Jacquelyn M. "Jackie" Jurkowski

Our cherished Jackie lost her courageous 10 month battle with cancer on Tuesday, February 3rd at the young age of 56. Jackie was born April 10, 1958 to Gerard & Alma Jurkowski in Milwaukee where she grew up in the same home and took care of her parents until her mom's death in September, 2011 and her father's death in December, 2013. Jackie is survived by her brother Jim (Francine) Allen of Golden Beach, Florida and nephews Matthew and Joseph Allen. Jackie was a devoted Momma to her cats Milo and Pumpkin who passed away in November 2013. Jackie worked at Trinity Episcopal Church in Wauwatosa for 19 years. She began a new career in the Oncology Department at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in 2003 where she worked until November, 2014. Jackie's loving nature, infectious smile and laugh will be deeply missed by her family, many many good friends, coworkers and patients. Visitation will be at Blessed Savior Catholic Church, 8545 West Villard Avenue, Saturday, February 7, 2014, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Mass of Christian burial to follow at 12:30 PM.
