Mary Alice Hinton

Dateline: Albia Mary Alice Hinton passed away on Feb 16, 2015 at Oakwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albia at the age of 91 having celebrated her birthday the previous week. Mary alice was the youngest of three daughters born to Gail and Rosa Gazelle Hinton. She was raised on a farm in Albia where she enjoyed caring for all manner of animals and pets. Mary Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Vivian Drake, and many friends. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Hodgson, nephews and nieces; Donald Drake, Gayle Torelli, Mark, Valerie, David, and Robert Hodgson and their families. Mary Alice will be remembered for her love of family, delight in animals, her gentle nature and sweet smile. The family is grateful for the care and friendship she received from staff at Oakwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A Private Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Selection Cemetery near Albia.
