Joseph Michael Kennedy

Joseph M. Kennedy, 5 year old son of Cameron and Renee Kennedy of Pomeroy, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015, as a result from injuries sustained in a house fire. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 28th at 1:00 p.m. at Northfield Church of Christ with Rev. Dale Harlow officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery in Lehigh. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Survivors include his parents, Cameron and Renee Kennedy of Pomeroy; sister, Shelby and brother, William Kennedy both at home; grandparents, Christopher and Rebecca Kennedy of Clare; Randy and Danelle Lenz of Barnum; Mike and Ruth Smith of Pomeroy; Charles and Rorena Stanley of Fort Dodge; great-grandparents, Richard and Sylvia Osborne of Pomeroy; Kathleen Guymon of Clare; Dan and Eileen Richardson of Lehigh; Betty and Larry Wood of Woden; and Joyce Smith of Fort Dodge; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins. n August 28, 2009, in Fort Dodge. He attended schools in Pomeroy and at Manson Northwest Webster. Joe was very loving, caring, shy, and happy little boy. He enjoyed to play with anything that had wheels, cars, motorcycles, watching movies, playing outside, and spending time with his brother and sister. Joe especially loved to be with his dad, whether it was working on the lawn mower or just riding along in the car and listening to music. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. A fund has been established at United Bank of Iowa under the name HERO.
