Nancy Louise Winter BLUE GRASS, Iowa--Nancy Louise Winter, 62, of Blue Grass, died on Thursday, March 5, 2015, at her home. Nancy was diagnosed with cancer on February 26, 2015, and faced it courageously with her constant sense of humor. Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 1 until 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at the Wilton Community Center in Wilton. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the Iowa City Hospice in her memory. The Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton, is in charge of the arrangements. Nancy was born on October 31, 1952, in Davenport, to Lester and Janet Staschke Crumly. She graduated from Wilton High School in 1971. Nancy married the love of her life, Lyndall M. Winter on May 17, 1986, in Wilton. They were blessed with two children: Heather and Eric. She was the office manager at Quality Foundry in Stockton, for 36 years. She and Lyndall own and operate Bison Ridge Kennels, Winter Bison, Stockton Realty and Arlington Locker. Nancy was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Wilton, Iowa. Nancy is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Lyndall Winter of Blue Grass; her daughter, Heather and husband, Bruce Hubbard of Elkader; her son, Eric Winter of Davenport; her granddaughter, Penelope Schmidt of Elkader; her father and mom #2, Lester and Vera "Mickie" Crumly of Davenport; her sisters, Patricia Nolan of Arizona and Joyce and husband, Gary Nerdig of Peoria, Arizonia; and her step-sister, Roschelle Brown of Ft. Worth, Texas. She is also survived by her loved employees: Megan Sieverding, Chelsea Kopp, Lauren Petty, Victoria Richardson, Brieann Ryan, Danielle Schlapkohl, Jordan Eggers and Emily Kuhn. She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Crumly.
