Betty Ann Hansen, 74, of Malvern, IA, passed away on March 15, 2015 at the Hospice with Heart House in Glenwood, IA. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Silver City Cemetery in Silver City, IA. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood. Memorials: Hansen House, 2331 Nash Blvd., Council Bluffs, Iowa 51501 Betty Ann Hansen, one of three children of Roy and Almira (Beam) Perry was born near Pacific Junction, Iowa on April 28, 1940. She graduated from Pacific Junction High School in 1958. After graduation, Betty attended flight attendant training in Omaha, Nebraska. Betty married William G. Hansen on January 3, 1959 in Pacific Junction and together they had three children. They started their married life farming near Silver City, Iowa and Tabor, Iowa. Betty and Bill later purchased a farm south of Strahan, Iowa where they lived for several years. Betty was a member of the Strahan United Methodist Church. amily and loved her children very much. Betty and Bill were married 31 years, when Bill passed away on June 13, 1990. After Bill's death, Betty purchased a house in Malvern where she lived her remaining years. Betty passed away on March 15, 2015 at the Hospice with Heart Home in Glenwood after a very brief illness. She attained the age of 74 years, 10 months, and 17 days. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents; brother Don Perry; and sister Joy Wilson. Betty is survived by her son Richard Hansen (Bill) of Council Bluffs; daughter Lisa Waltke (Bruce) of Topeka, KS and daughter Holly Henderson (Bill) of Farragut, IA; her beloved four-legged friend "Hildi"; brother-in-law Donald Hansen of Malvern, sister-in-law Deanna Cline (Bob) of Nebraska City, NE; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
