Jean Boone

Jean Anne Even Boone passed away peacefully at her home on East Okoboji, Tuesday, March 17th, 2015. She courageously fought a battle with cancer for 18 months. Jean was born in Le Mars, IA, on December 3, 1953, to Jay and Lois Even of Alton, IA. Jean spent her childhood years in Alton. She graduated from Spalding Catholic School. Jean married Darlo Boone of Hospers, IA, on October 6, 1973. They made their home in Sheldon, IA, where their two sons were born. Jean obtained her degree in nursing and spent most of her career in Sheldon as Occupational Health Nurse. While living in Sheldon, Jean was an active member of the Sheldon Community Ambulance Team. In 2010, Jean began her career at Lakes Regional Healthcare as occupational health nurse. Jean always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her laugh was contagious making everyone around her laugh too. Her only vice was that she loved to shop and had a special talent for finding that special gift. She considered everyone a friend and would go out of her way to make everyone feel special.
