Iris Dale Kiefer

Iris Dale Kiefer, age 74, of Beachwood, died on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Steubenville, OH, she lived in Florida from 1965 to 1977. She moved to Toms River in 1977, where she lived until moving to Beachwood five years ago. Mrs. Kiefer began her career as a registered nurse, working at Bayville Manor Nursing Home. She later worked as a coffee hostess at Wawa on Route 37, Toms River, and at Lovely Laundry, Island Heights. Her husband, Albert, died in 1997. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Chacon and her husband Jonathan of Forked River; her son, Darren Carpenter and his wife Laura of Easley, SC; a brother, Joseph McGough and his wife Denise of OH; a sister, Sheila Heffner and her husband Paul of Los Gatos, CA; four grandchildren, Jasmine and Joshua Garcia and Brandyn and Bailey Carpenter; and a great-grandchild, Jameson Carpenter. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. Cremation will be private.
