Edith Caudill Day, age 89, of Franklin, Ohio, died Thursday March 26, 2015. She was born in Letcher County, Kentucky on February 14, 1926 to John and Alta (Adams) Hampton. She was a member of the Grace United Baptist Church in Walton, KY. She was preceded in death by her father, John D. Hampton, mother, Alta Hampton, first husband, Paul J. Caudill, Son, Ed Caudill, brother, Garland Hampton, sisters, Tilda Robinson and Melvina Profitt, 4 infant brothers. Edith is survived by her second husband, William Day; two daughters, Karen (Roger) Richie, Willa (Bill) Johnson; two sons, Courtney (Linda) Caudill, Dean Caudill; a daughter-in-law Bonnie Caudill; three step daughters, Geraldine Sargent, Brenda Norris, Patricia Brewer; step son, Roger Day; a sister, Sara Ruth (Carrol) Shackleford; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; three brothers, John (Helen) Hampton, Elmer (Cleo) Hampton, Kirby (Carol) Hampton. Edith was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
