Christopher Gregory Orton

Mr. Christopher Gregory Orton, 39, of Burlington died Thursday, April 9, 2015, at his home. Born January 28, 1976 in Burlington, he was the son of Alan Dale and Sharon Kay (Wilson) Orton. Mr. Orton was a graduate of Mediapolis High School and the University of Northern Iowa. He was an electrician for I.B.E.W. Local 13. He was of the protestant faith and was baptized at St. Luke's United Church of Christ. He was a member of ABATE and enjoyed playing pool, hunting, fishing and camping on the River. Survivors include his parents, Alan and Sharon Orton of Sperry; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Wilson of Burlington; paternal grandparents, Bob and Virginia Orton of Burlington; and aunts, uncles, cousins and a great group of friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Harold L. Wilson. The memorial service for Mr. Orton will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 13th, at Lunning Chapel with Pastor Joyce Proctor officiating. The family will receive friends at a luncheon following the memorial service at the Eagles Club.
