Cynthia Lynne (Atkinson) Messer, of Pembroke Pines formerly of Miami passed away at her home on Thursday April 16, 2015. She was 48 years of age.
Born in Miami on November 14, 1966, a daughter of Robert and Constance (Sklenka) Atkinson. Cindy graduated from Palmetto Senior High School and attended Miami Dade College.
Before her retirement, Cindy worked as a Flight Attendant for American Airlines for more than 15 years. An avid tennis player, she was a member of the Sunset Lakes Tennis Club in Miramar. A devoted wife and mother, Cindy was very active in her sons sporting events and always there to support their endeavors.
Survived by her beloved husband of 22 years, John Phillip Messer, devoted sons, Tyler Mitchell Messer and Zachary Phillip Messer, her loving mother, Constance Atkinson, brother, Michael Atkinson and his wife Diana Atkinson, two sisters, Pam Mon and her husband Felix Mon and Elizabeth Atkinson. Also survived by her father-in-law, Bobbie Messer, sisters-in-law, Aurora Lamelas, Angela Messer, Suzanne Malouf and several nieces and nephews.
