Christopher James Ziegler
WAUNAKEE-Christopher James Ziegler, age 49, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 21, 2015. He was born on Aug. 11, 1965 to David and Ruth (Roedsens) Ziegler. He married Karen Gehri on April 17, 1993, and they lived all their married lives in the Waunakee/Westport area. Chris lived for his family every day and loved everything about bringing joy to all those around him. His sense of humor is what family and friends will remember most. He was employed by the Dane County Highway Dept. as well as owning the family farm that he grew up on. This was the first year that he was elated by putting in the crops with the help of his family and was awaiting the harvest. He loved snowmobile trips up North with his family. His passion for riding motorcycles was present every day and he got one last ride in. ) Acker and Karla (Jim) Jozwiakowski; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by Roman and Alice Ziegler as well as Alice and Paul Roedsens. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at St Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 5460 Mary Lake Rd, Westport. Friends may visit on Friday, June 26, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q, Waunakee and also at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services with a luncheon after. There will be no burial services. He will be missed but never forgotten as he lives on in our memories and stories. In lieu of gifts and flowers, a memorial fund for his children and grandchildren has been established at Summit Credit Union in Waunakee under the name Chris Ziegler Children and Grandchildren (608) 243-5000.
