Marvin W. Edwards, 63, of Preston, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, in Washington, Iowa. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M., Monday, July 27, 2015, from the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. Graveside services and burial will be held at 1:30 P.M., from the South Mineral Cemetery, rural Onslow, Iowa. Marvin Wayne Edwards was born on November 24, 1951 in Jackson County, Iowa, to Arnold Marvin and Lois (DeLarm) Edwards. He grew up in Maquoketa and attended Maquoketa schools. He married Patricia Ann Westphal on July 1, 1970 in Rock Island, Illinois. She preceded him in death on December 16, 2014. Marvin had first worked for the city of Rockford in the maintenance department. He then worked for Vern Campbell Trucking as truck driver and mechanic for several years, then for Cheyenne Camper Sales in Park View as a mechanic, and later for Total Truck in Clinton as mechanic. For the past five years he has worked for DAR PRO Solutions in Clinton, Iowa as a mechanic and truck driver.
