David DeFosse

Mr. David DeFosse, 59, of Burlington died Monday, November 30, 2009, at rural Oquawka, Illinois. Born November 3, 1950 in Burlington, he was the son of Gene Leon and Doris Ruth Savage DeFosse. On January 20, 1973 he married Linda Buxton in Burlington. Mr. DeFosse was a supervisor at J.I. Case Co., retiring in October of 2006. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid Cardinal and Iowa Hawkeye fan and loved nature. Survivors include his wife, Linda DeFosse of Burlington; two sons, Chris (Toni) DeFosse of LaSalle, Illinois and Tim (Julie) DeFosse of Dickinson, Texas; one daughter, Jennifer (Ray) Mills of Burlington; six grandchildren and another expected; one sister, Cindy (Gary) Reiff of Rock Island, Illinois and nieces and nephews. His parents and brother, Gary DeFosse, preceded him in death. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. today in Lunning Chapel. The funeral service for Mr. DeFosse will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 3rd, in Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Deb Miller-Kinney officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
