Cindy R. Hanson, 60, of Sioux City, IA passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Embassy Health Care in Sergeant Bluff, IA. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Mohr Funeral Home, 1431 W. 29th Street, South Sioux City, NE. Visitation with the family present will begin at noon on Saturday at the funeral home. Cindy was born on January 5, 1955 in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Jack and Barbara (Keairns) Smith. She attended Central High School. She married Charles T. Capers. To this union three children were born. Cindy later married the love of her life and best friend, Mark Hanson, on July 24, 1987 in Sioux City. She worked at MCI and 1st Financial Bank Usa in Dakota Dunes, SD. She was a member of the Jackson American Legion Auxiliary and was a blood donor for years. Cindy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, crocheting, rummaging, baking cookies, cake decorating and rescuing cats.
