Carol A. Ver Hagen-Smith

Carol A. Ver Hagen-Smith, of Antigo, died Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was 61 years old. She was born on April 24, 1954 in Antigo, a daughter of the late Howard and Lucille (Verhasselt) Ver Hagen. She married Blake Smith on December 19, 2008 in Kenosha, the couple later divorced. She was a graduate of Antigo High School with Class of 1972. Carol worked for a number of local businesses including: Brunswick, Plaspack, Schroeder Gifts, Incha Brothers Potatoes, Weinbrenner Shoe Factor, Polar Manufacturing, Three Jokers and Marty's Shell. She loved spending time with family and friends. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She enjoyed listening to rock 'n roll music, especially AC/DC. She was a Milwaukee Brewer and Green Bay Packer fan. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Ver Hagen of Racine, and Jamie A. Kenosha; ex-husband, Blake Smith of Antigo. She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Roger Doc Spencer. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 8 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. David Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
