Kenneth "Charlie" Phelps

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Kenneth Charles "Charlie" Phelps, son of Dale and Marian (Walker) Phelps, was born December 18, 1943, in Emmetsburg Iowa. He was a graduate of Mallard High School. Following his education, Charlie worked on the family farm. He also worked at Shaver Mfg., Ray's Standard Filling Station and Gappa Auto. Charlie loved to go cruising through Emmetsburg with his pup, Lucy. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Charlie never knew a stranger, and he will be remembered for his kind heart and friendly smile and wave. On Thursday, August 13, Charlie passed away at his home in Emmetsburg.
