Donald K. Koch

Donald K. Koch, 83, of Geneva, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015, at the Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton, Iowa. He was born August 29, 1931, to Kenneth and Agnes (Larsen) Koch in Hampton, Iowa. Don graduated from Geneva High School in 1949 and then attended Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. He was married on February 13, 1993, to Joyce Brockshus in Hampton, Iowa. Don served his country in the United States Army from 1952 - 1954. He worked as a farmer in the Geneva area. Don was a member of the Franklin County Conservation board, American Legion of Ackley, Church of Christ where he served on the board, as a deacon, trustee and elder. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed woodworking, loved nature, loved children and sharing of knowledge from books and experiences. Don had a strong faith and was active in his church.
