Paul John Bois

Paul John Bois Paul Bois passed peacefully in his sleep on September 9, 2015 at the age of 89. Paul was born in Rockford Ill. March 13, 1926 the son of Fernand and Ida (Beszkuchet) Bois of Switzerland and Belgium. Paul graduated from East High School and entered the U.S. Navy. He signed up with the V12 program and soon qualified for the V5 flight training program and began flying the N253 and later the SNJ. Shortly after the Japanese surrendered Paul was discharged. He enrolled at the University of Illinois where he studied for 2 years and then transferred to Michigan State where he completed courses in forestry and wood technology. After graduation Paul worked at the Forest Products Lab in Madison, WI. Five years later Paul transferred to a field office in Ashville, North Carolina. He retired as a National Wood Drying specialist and formed his own consulting business. Paul is survived by three sons - Jerry (Tammy), John (Denise) and Richard; five grandchildren, a sister Marie and his best friend and sweetheart Shirley along with her family. [more]
