Robert Benson

Mr. Robert G. Benson, of Port Washington, passed away Sunday morning, September 20, 2015 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton after a short battle with cancer. He was 58 years old. Robert was born August 29, 1957 in Buffalo, New York, the son of Elmer and Patricia (nee Madden) Benson. While visiting his parents in Port Washington, he met his future wife Renee. On September 6, 1980, he was united in marriage with Renee Kirmse in Mequon. The couple and their young family moved to Wisconsin in 1986. Bob was an avid vinyl record collector, and authored a book about it. He was a published author and internet blogger. Bob is survived by his wife Renee and their two sons: Ben (Leah) and Andy Benson, both of Port Washington. He is further survived by his grandson Dylan, his parents Elmer and Patricia Benson of Cedarburg, siblings: Jim (Maria) Benson, Steve (Rebecca) Benson, Sue (Doug) Lottes, Tim (Gynnie) Benson, Maryanne (Tom) Seyfert and Pete (Erna) Benson, father-in-law Theodore Kirmse, brother-in-law Dan Kirmse, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
