Dona Mae M. (Pralle) Johansen, 87, of Latimer, Iowa, passed away September 25, 2015, at Franklin General Hospital.
Dona was born to Richard and Bertha (Honald) Pralle on October 6, 1927. She grew up in the Latimer area where she attended school and graduated from Latimer High School.
She was united in marriage to Ralph Johansen on October 2, 1949, at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Latimer. The couple made their home west of Latimer where they raised their three girls and farmed. She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Coulter, Iowa. Dona was active in her church and especially enjoyed quilting with the ladies of her church. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and traveling. Her favorite times were spent with her family and playing cards with friends.
Dona Mae is survived by three daughters: Janell (Steve) Moburg, Paynesville, MN; Sharon (Gene) Miller, Latimer; and Jean (James) Showalter, Hampton.
