Donald W. Haines

Muncie- Donald W. Haines, 86, passed away Monday September 28th, 2015 at his residence. He was the son of Walter E. and Alma Haines. Don was an Army Veteran and served during the Korean Conflict, he was awarded a Bronze star. He was an active member of Glad Tidings Church most of his life. He retired from Central Indiana Gas Company and co-owned several businesses with his wife Nila. After retirement he worked at Lowes near his home. His greatest joy was his wife and daughters and their families. Don lived for vacations; his hobbies included camping, fishing, stained glass and volunteering at his church. Don is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Nila. Daughters include Debbie Diedrich (David), Terri Haines; foster son Chad Beckham (Linda). Grandsons, M. ld from 10am to 1:00pm at Glad Tidings Church 3001 South Burlington Drive, Muncie, Indiana. Funeral will be at the church at 1:00pm. Burial will take place at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
