ersity, Brian took the opportunity to teach Tool and Die in Malaysia for several months. Brian and Elizabeth Ann Bogard were united in marriage on July 18, 1959 in Manley, Nebraska. They were blessed with three children, Joel, Sheila, and Ann. They moved to Glenwood in 1972 and were married 38 years. Sadly, Liz died in 1997 of cancer at the age of 56 years. It was then that Brian decided to retire and travel the world. Brian's hobbies included: traveling, cooking, dining out, and betting on football and the horse races. Again, his passion was travel and he went around the world twice. He made several trips to the UK, Australia, and New Zealand to visit friends made during his extensive travels. Another highlight in his journey was a trip to Western Europe he took with his beloved mother and his sister, retracing his father's tour of WWII. Later in life he enjoyed several trips to Mexico for rest and relaxation. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the Eagles, where he had been a member for 40 years. Brian passed away at the Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, Nebraska on September 30, 2015, at the age of 75 years, 5 months, and 25 days. In addition to his beloved wife Elizabeth, he was also preceded in death by his parents. Brian is survived by his children, Joel Biggs and his wife Susie of Glenwood, Sheila Biggs of Glenwood, and Ann Vassar and her husband Scott of Papillion, NE; grandchildren, Chad Biggs and his wife Laurie, Shane Biggs, and Aaron Biggs, all of Plattsmouth, NE, Wesley Marshall of Omaha, Seth Marshall and wife Devonne of Glenwood; Gracie Vassar and Ean Vassar of Papillion; four great grandchildren; sister Mary Terry and her husband Jim of Cedar Creek, NE; brother-in-law Ed Bogard and his wife Jan of Glenwood; and other relatives and friends.
