Rick A. Cox

Rick A. Cox, 51, of Walcott, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday morning, October 6, 2015, at the Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa. A natural journey farewell with cremation has taken place. There is no visitation and a private memorial will be held at a later date. The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family. Rick Allen Cox was born on October 25, 1963 in Muscatine, Iowa, to Raymond James and Lois Ann (Laychak) Cox. He was a 1982 graduate of Davenport West High School. Rick enjoyed racing. He raced for several years in a late model and IMCA modified. Those left to honor Rick's memory include his two sons Ricky and Ryan Cox; a brother Ray (Michelle) Cox, Jr. of Maquoketa, IA; nieces Katie Dondlinger and Kayla Cox; and a nephew Michael Heister.
