Henry Eugene Cross

Muncie- Henry Eugene Cross passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Ball Memorial Hospital. Henry was born on March 28, 1949 to Henry and Ella Mae (DeHart) Cross in Muncie. Henry enjoyed being outdoors, taking care of his garden and flowers, going fishing, and bowling. He also enjoyed playing cards with his family, especially his grandkids and their friends. He liked to fix anything mechanical and working on cars. Henry was a hard worker and loved being with his family. After attending Center High School, Henry went to trade school for Mechanics. Over the years he worked at J & J Welding, McCormick Brothers, and L. C. Cassidy & Son Insulation. Henry owned his own business for 20 years, Henry E. Cross Insulation in Yorktown. Henry will be sadly missed by his children, Cathy Cross, Teresa Rector, and Melissa Cross all of Muncie; grandchildren Dr. Katie (Kyle) Huff, Gregory (Brooklyn) Morris, Tyler Morris, Chelsea Herron, Ashley Herron, Loren Rector, Skylar Herron, and Cassie Herron; great grandson Hunter Wolfe and a great granddaughter due in March; sisters Shirley (Jay Farrell) Needham, Mary Jo "Jodie" (Larry) Brown, Linda (Duane) Stahl and Sherry (Doug) Brannon; ...[more]

Funeral service for Henry is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore, Muncie at 10:00 am. Visitation will be Monday, October 19, 2015 from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm.
