Robert Anthony (Bobby) Hale
Graduate of Wolmer's Boy's School where besides being a good academic Bobby excelled in Sports, Track and Field being his specialty, Bobby was voted best athlete in the 1954 Inter-Scholastic School Boy Championship.
Bobby has worn many hats Butcher, Truck Driver, Talented Chef, and Gas station owner. He began his ultimate career in Horse racing in 1965. By 1966 he was training the "Horse of the Year" SKA and that same year had won almost every major race worth winning.... First time named champion Trainer. 1974.
Bobby trained the horse Rustic Light, winner of the1994 Illinois Derby. Making him the first Jamaican trainer to ever win a Major Graded Stake race in America...
From there the awards and firsts to be accomplished by a Jamaican, gallop on into the sunset.
