Nancy Lee Rockwell

Nancy L. Rockwell, 68, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, Iowa. A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, November 5, 2015, at the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 P.M. on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Burial will be at the Sutton Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, Iowa. Nancy Lee Bock was born on December 30, 1946 in Jackson County, Iowa, to Harvey C. and Elsie C. (Gronwoldt) Bock. She attended Buckhorn Country School through the eighth grade and graduated from Maquoketa High School in 1965. She continued her education at AIB in Davenport. Nancy married Jimmy G. "Jim" Rockwell on January 18, 1975 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Nancy had worked for the Maquoketa Sentinel-Press in Maquoketa from October 24, 1965 until present. She held many different positions throughout her 50-year career with the newspaper. Nancy enjoyed traveling and had traveled with Jim all over including Hawaii and Alaska.
