Carol Vinson

Carol M. Vinson, 47, of Keokuk, passed away peacefully at her home at 8:15 AM on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 surrounded by her family and friends. Carol was born on January 20, 1968 in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Bernice Davis and David Shuster. She married David Vinson on May 13, 1985, in Keokuk, Iowa. He survives. Carol graduated from Keokuk High School. She loved riding her motorcycle, singing, and spoiling her grandchildren. Carol was very active in her community cause fundraisers, supporting local bands and activities in Keokuk. She loved to capture the memorable moments in every picture. Carol is survived by husband David Vinson of Keokuk, IA; daughter Danyelle Vinson (Willy Quinn) of Montrose, IA; son Nathan Vinson (Destinee Prichard) of Keokuk, IA; four grandchildren: Chloe, David, Valerii and Brayden Vinson and Uriah Quinn expected in February; one brother Jason (Caroline) Schmitt of Keokuk, IA; her parents David and Bernice Shuster of Rock Springs, Wyoming; battle buddy sister Joy Jairl, nieces and nephews. t 2:00 PM Saturday, November 21, 2015 at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street with Pastor Bob Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa. Visitation will be Friday, November 20, 2015, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street with family meeting with friends from 5:00 to 8:00.
