Anthony "Chet" Celeste, of Lauderhill, Florida, passed away at his home, with his wife and son by his side, on November 18, 2015. He was 77 years of age.
Born in Niagara Falls, New York, on July 7, 1938, son of Luigi and Concetta (D'Ramio) Celeste. Raised and educated in Niagara Falls, Chet graduated from Niagara Falls High School. Following high school, he worked as a printer for Moore Business Forms and played baseball as a catcher for them, wearing the number 8 in honor of Yogi Berra. He loved baseball and football and enjoyed bowling and setting a perfect score, which he held for many years. Later, Chet was co-owner and operator of the family business, Mantell's Carousel of Flowers. A resident of South Florida since 1967, he worked as a painting contractor, and later excelled as a residential and commercial plumber.
Anthony is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Donna (Mantell) Celeste, devoted son, Anthony "Tony" Celeste, brother, Albert Celeste, and two sisters, Gilda Rizzo and Josephine Metro.
