She helped form a group home for disabled people and supported Camp Courageous. She enjoyed creating and sharing holiday crafts and quilting which she titled "Blemishes by Marge", and liked watching the Iowa Hawkeye men's basketball on television. She also enjoyed traveling with Paul. She had a competitive edge; playing cards, croquet, soccer, etc. with the grandchildren. Easter egg hunts and Christmas baking were favorite family traditions.
