Robert William Stinson

Robert Stinson, 67, of Keokuk, passed away on November 27, 2015, at Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk. Robert was born in Keokuk on August 15, 1948, the son of William Henry and Delores Ann Mann Stinson. A lifelong resident of Keokuk, Robert worked at Morse Rubber and the railroad, and proudly served his country in the army during Vietnam. Some of the family's favorite memories of Robert include the fun he had turtle trapping, his love of wrestling, fishing with his father under the cottonwood trees and he enjoyed spending time with his family. Robert is survived by his mother Delores; his son Kevin Stinson of Keokuk; his daughter DeAnna (Rick) Inman of Donnellson; six grandchildren: Andrew Inman, Nicholas Inman, Austin Inman, Wesley Stinson, Caleb Rea, and Blaine Stinson; six brothers: David Stinson of Keokuk, William Stinson of Keokuk, George Stinson of Keokuk, James (Angela) Stinson of Keokuk, Raymond (Lori) Stinson of Hamilton, IL and Randy Stinson of Keokuk; four sisters: Roseann Bringer of Canton ,Mo., Debra Bowden of North Charleston, Sc. ; Shelia (Bill) Knopp of Bullhead City, Az. , and Aggie Stinson of Keokuk. ert is preceded in death by his father, grandparents Horace and Pansy Mann and Arthur and Elizabeth Stinson, his son Kelly Stinson, his brothers Scott and Timothy Stinson. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center located at 917 Blondeau Street. Burial will follow at the Montrose Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12 to 2 PM before the service. Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
