Jerry, Joe and Chad, along with NASCAR racing. Debra always could be found with a smile on her face. She had a warm, loving, friendly and uplifting personality with a heart of gold. Debra's inner beauty held qualities of strength, determination, and faith which shown through, even more vibrantly, in her daily achievements. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years; Jerry Wood, two children; Joe (Megan) Wood of Madison, Chad (Patti) Wood of Sun Prairie, five grandchildren; Jade, Derrick, Albert, Paige and Chase Wood, a brother; Earl Goodwin of Madison, sister; Trudy (John) Backer of Neenah, brothers-in-law; Jeff (Kim) Wood of Florida, Jim (Cathy) Wood of Madison, Johnny (LuAnne) Wood of Sun Prairie, and sister-in-law; Julie (Jeff) Wood of Madison and her beloved bulldog Mercedes. Debra is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews, other loving family and many many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her mother and father in law; Jerry and Audrey Wood Sr. Funeral services will be held at MESSIAH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5202 Cottage Grove Road, Madison on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 11:00 am with Reverend Jeff Vanden Heuvel officiating. A visitation will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 4 to 8 pm and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Entombment at Roselawn Cemetery will follow the services. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Deming, Anica, Elizabeth, Kathy, Stephanie and all the staff at UW-Carbone Cancer Center for their exceptional care, kindness and compassion they gave Debbie.
