Lowell G. Sorrell

Lowell G. Sorrell, 85, Muncie, passed away Tuesday evening, December 8, 2015 at the Golden Living Center. He was born October 23, 1930 in Muncie, the son of Claude E. and Goldie (Whitt) Sorrell Stephens. Lowell worked at Warner Gear for more than 40 years and retired as Committeeman. He loved to go fishing and was an avid IU Basketball and Chicago Cubs Baseball fan. Survivors include three children, Tony Sorrell, Vicki (Mike) McKim and Greg (Terri) Sorrell; one brother, Ralph Sorrell; one sister, Marilyn Dettman; eight grandchildren, Anah, Aaron, Adam, Aimee, Abby, Christopher, Matthew and Shannon; seventeen great-grandchildren; his close friend, Judy Sorrell and several other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of nearly fifty years, Virginia (Crouch) Sorrell, who passed away April 18, 1997. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to A.R.F., 1209 W. Riggin Road, Muncie, IN 47303. Per Lowell's request there will be no services or visitation.
