Beverly "Tootie" Ann Rose

Beverly "Tootie" Ann Rose, 77, of Keokuk, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at her home. Beverly was born June 9, 1938 in Lockridge, Iowa the daughter of Manford and Callie Orton Lewis. On June 13, 1955 she was united in marriage to Robert Rose. He survives. Beverly a lifelong resident of the Keokuk area was a member of the Crossview Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening, gospel music, bird watching and feeding her squirrels. Tootie always used a ringer washer because she liked to. She raised lots of children, and loved spending time with her family and friends. Beverly is survived by her husband Robert Rose of Keokuk, three children, Guy (Kathy) Rose of Keokuk, IA, Wes Rose of Keokuk, IA and Donnie Rose of Keokuk, IA, one sister, Marilyn "Puggy" Zweifel of Memphis, MO, one brother, Donald (Phyllis) Lewis of Keokuk , IA, eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents and one sister in infancy. . Burial will follow at Little Mound Cemetery, Keokuk, Iowa. Visitation will be after 3 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2015, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street, Keokuk with family meeting with friends from 6-8 pm. Memorials may be made to the ALS Association.
