Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., prior to the service on Saturday. Interment is in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Abben Cancer Center - 1200 1st Ave E, Spencer, IA 51301. Patricia Ann Madsen, daughter of Alva and Leona (Kress) Howard was born October 27, 1941 in Emmetsburg, IA, the youngest of siblings: Lloyd, Alelia, Dean, Dale, Norma, Phyllis, Virginia and Sharon. She was united in marriage to James N. Carrigan, Sr., and to this union, six children were born: Julie Carrigan of Des Moines, Pam (Mark) Meyer of Mallard, Scott (Brenda) Carrigan of Emmetsburg, Kenneth (Pam) Carrigan of Riverton, Utah, Kim Carrigan and Gary (Beth) Carrigan all of Emmetsburg. Later, Pat was united in marriage to Richard W. Madsen, and to this union, a daughter, Jennifer Lynn (Jason) Marienau of LeMars, Iowa was born. Patricia worked for many years at SNC Mfg. retiring in 2008. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and socializing with friends.
