Catherine "Kate" Le Blanc

Catherine M. Le Blanc, "Kate" age 96 a resident of Spring House Estates and formerly of Oreland, PA died peacefully Tuesday December 22, 2015 surrounded by her family. Born in Philadelphia, PA., she was the daughter of the late Charles and the Anna (nee Stock) Mc Cool. Mrs.Le Blanc was preceded in death by her husband Edgar C. Le Blanc Jr. in May 2015. Kate was a Bookkeeper, employed by Eugene Ormandy "conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra" prior to marriage. Mrs. Le Blanc was a member of St. Anthonys Church and formerly Holy Martyers Church. She was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School Class of 1936. Along with her husband, Edgar, in 1976 founded Families Unite For Mental Health Rights and helped run the organization until 1979 when many similar local organizations merged to form the National Alliance for Mental Illness. Mrs. Le Blanc is survived by her devoted children of Edgar C. "Gary" Le Blanc III of Roslyn, PA, Brian F. "Fin" Le Blanc (Leatha) of Conifer, CO and Denise L. Burns (Ty) of Paradise, TX.
