Janet "Jan" Fowler

Janet (Jan) Fowler, went home to be with her Lord Jesus on January 10, 2016 at 4:33 PM after losing her battle with non-smoker's lung cancer. Jan was born on February 8, 1942 to Harry G. and Gladys Boyd Mitchell in Keokuk, Iowa. She graduated from Montrose High School, with the class of 1960. Jan married Ronald G. Fowler on December 30, 1960, in Quincy, Illinois. He survives. She is also survived by: their children, Julia Ann (Steve) Roeglin of Stuarts Draft, VA; Jolene Kay (Michael) Nichols of Estherville, IA; and Janell Marie Fowler of Keokuk; five grandchildren, Adam (Ashley) Roeglin, Allison (John) Forystek, Alexander (Emily) Roeglin, Christian Nichols and Isabel Nichols; great-grandson Judah Forystek and three additional great-grandchildren due this year; three sisters, Maxine Marshall, Joan (Richard) Jordan, all of Keokuk, and Joyce Kemper of Wayland, MO; special ladies from Thursday prayer and Bible group; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sets of grandparents, two brothers, Dean and Lee Roy Mitchell, three brothers-in-law, two nephews and a sister-in-law.
