Harry D. Miller

Harry D. Miller, age 93, formerly of Jenkintown, died Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Spring House Estates in Lower Gwynedd where he and his wife Ann have been residents for the past twelve years. Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Harry D. and the late Dorothy (nee Schitzel) Miller. Harry served in the US Army from 1943 to 1946 during World War II and served in the Asiatic, Pacific , European, African, and Middle Eastern Theaters. . He was a Special and Parcel Post Deliveryman, employed by US Postal Service until his retirement. Mr. Miller was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Jenkintown and was an active volunteer at Springhouse Estates when they moved there. He is the beloved husband of Ann M. Miller and the devoted father of Alan Daniel Miller and the late Elaine of Ambler and Wendy Joan Miller Dougherty of Philadelphia, PA. He is also the loving grandfather of Janice Elaine Budlong (David) of Woodbury Forest, VA, Brian Daniel Miller (Jennifer) of Morrisville, PA, Jeffrey Daniel Miller (Cynthia) of Perkasie, PA, Elizabeth Elaine Elseroad (Joseph) of Sneads Ferry, NC and the great grandfather of nine.
