Bill Brace, 65, of Red Oak, passed away at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital on January 27, 2016. Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Faith Community Church in Red Oak with Pastor David MacDonald officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Loess Hills Funeral Home of Glenwood in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Directed to the family Billie Eugene Brace, son of Howard and Rhondali (Coy) Brace was born on October 24, 1950 in Creston, IA. Bill grew up in southwest Iowa and attending schools in Glenwood. Bill worked at the Swift packing plant for 12 years. He then began his career in construction. Bill was married to Anna Chapin on June 29, 1970. The couple was blessed with three children, Sheila, Vickie and Michael. Anna passed away on March 5, 1982. Bill enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting and trapping. He especially loved being around his kids and grandkids and even enjoyed baking them cookies. Bill is survived by daughters, Sheila (Travis) Hewitt and their children Trenton, Taylor and Spencer, of Council Bluffs, IA, and Vickie Williams and her children, Keegan and Kylee, of Bayard, IA; son, Michael Brace and his children, Joshua and Gavin, of Red Oak; brothers, Guy (Joan) Brace of Corning, IA, Tarry (Sue) Brace of Centerville, IA; sister, Penny (Cecil) Holste of Westminster, CO; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
