Annamarie "Annie" Martinson

Annamarie "Annie" Martinson, 74, of Newcastle, NE passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the Elms Health Care Center in Ponca, NE. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church in Maskell, NE with Rev. Chad Beckius officiating. Burial will be in the Maskell Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M., with the family present at 5:00 P.M. and a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca, NE. Annie was born on August 2, 1941 in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of George and Ruth (Langford) Earley. She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from East High School. She married Larry Martinson in 1961 in Sioux City, IA. To this union were born three children: Brian, Cindy and Tom. The family moved to Columbus, NE where they lived until 1977 when they moved to the Newcastle area. Annie worked as a sales rep for the Nebraska Journal Leader in Ponca for twenty years. She was a member of, and very active in Faith Lutheran Church in Maskell, NE. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Annie was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth Earley; her husband, Larry Martinson; brothers, George, Richard and James; and sisters, Louise and Betty.
