Loralee A. Swanson, 77, of South Sioux City, NE, formerly of Walthill, NE passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Matney's Colonial Manor in South Sioux City, NE. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Walthill, NE with Rev. Brion P. Tolzman officiating. Burial will be in Omaha Valley Cemetery in rural Homer, NE. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with the family present at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Loralee was born on December 23, 1938 in Blair, NE, the daughter of Claude and Margery (Springer) Stricklett. She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1956. She married Duane Swanson on August 31, 1957 in South Sioux City, NE. The couple moved to Walthill, NE where they farmed for over fifty years and raised three children. They moved to Dakota City, NE when they retired from farming. Duane passed away in September, 2012. Loralee was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Ladies Aide in Walthill, NE, and an Extension Club in Pender, NE.
